White Sauce Pasta

One of the best things about Italian food is its distinct taste and texture. No one can deny that white sauce pasta is one of the favourite for all age groups. Made with some simple ingredients like milk, cheese, Italian seasoning and loaded with healthy veggies of choice, it is one of our favourites too. You can make this super easy farfalle pasta in white sauce following some super simple steps.

White sauce pasta

Ingredients:

  • 1 bowl boiled farfalle pasta
  • 4 tbsp Butter
  • ½ cup boiled mushrooms
  • ½ cup boiled corn kernels
  • 1 cup broccoli
  • 2-3 cloves minced garlic
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Oregano
  • Chilli flakes
  • 3 cheese slices
  • 2 cup milk
  • 5 tbsp maida/all-purpose flour/plain flour

Procedure:

  1. In a pan heat 1-1 ½ tbsp of butter, add garlic and saute. Once the aroma of garlic is all around, add mushrooms cook for 2-3 minutes, now add broccoli and corn kernels. Cook the veggies for some time and then add 1 tsp of oregano and chili flakes each in addition to the salt as per taste. Mix well and turn off the gas
  2. In another pan, heat the remaining butter, add maida to it and let it cook for some time until it turns golden in colour
  3. Now start adding milk slowly while whisking the mix. Keep whisking the mix until the milk is dissolved properly
  4. Add cheese slices by breaking them into pieces and keep whisking to ensure that the cheese is completely melted, and the mix turns thick
  5. Add oregano, black pepper, chilli flakes and salt as per taste and give a mix
  6. Add the stir-fried veggies to it and mix
  7. Lastly, add the boiled pasta and mix well to ensure that the sauce is well coated on the veggies and pasta. Serve hot

Points to note:

  • Can add other veggies like capsicum, carrots etc
  • Keep whisking fast while adding milk otherwise lumps will be formed. In case lumps are formed, using a strainer mash it well and then again add the milk
  • Accompanied best by garlic bread
