Yogurt Sandwich

The yogurt-based vegetable sandwich is the perfect choice when you are craving a healthy sandwich. Yogurt/curd that is generally available in most pantries, has been used to make this creamy-textured sandwich. It is one of those fancy and quick recipes to have for breakfast and will surely be loved by everyone, especially the fussy eaters.

Healthy yogurt sandwich

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup yogurt/ hung curd
  • 1 green chilli, finely chopped
  • ½ cup finely chopped onions
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped capsicum
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1/3 tsp black pepper
  • 1/3 tsp black salt
  • ½ tsp oregano
  • ½ tsp chilli flakes
  • 1/3 tsp sugar (optional)
  • Butter
  • Bread slices

Procedure:

  1. In a bowl, beat the yogurt/ curd well, so that no lumps remain
  2. Add chilli, onion and capsicum. Mix well and add the dry ingredients. Stir it well
  3. Heat a pan and using butter, toast one side of 2 bread slices. On the cooked side of one slice, spread the mix prepared. Cover it with the other slice
  4. Cook the sandwich from both sides and serve hot
