Besan Cheela/ Gramflour Pancake

Someone has rightly said, good food is equal to good mood and on a busy morning all we need is a flavourful breakfast to kickstart the day. Besan cheela or gramflour pancake is one of such amazing quick healthy breakfast recipes made up of gram flour and veggies.

Besan cheela served with freshly made coriander and mint chutney

Ingredients:

  • 1 bowl gram flour
  • ½ cup of water
  • ¼ tsp turmeric
  • ½ tsp red chilli powder
  • Salt, to taste
  • ½ cup onion, finely chopped
  • ½ cup tomato, finely chopped
  • ½ cup capsicum, finely chopped
  • Oil

Procedure:

  1. In a bowl, add all the dry ingredients and mix it
  2. Now, add water and mix it well to ensure no lumps are formed
  3. Add the veggies, mix it and let the batter rest for 10 minutes
  4. Heat a pan, brush it with oil, pour a ladle of the batter prepared and spread it evenly. Pour some droplets of oil on the sides all around so that it does not get stick to the pan
  5. Flip it over to cook from the other side
  6. Serve hot and crisp with chutneys
