Peanut Butter Cake

Peanut butter is not an ingredient, rather an emotion for many of us. What could be better than a peanut butter cake itself with smooth and thick peanut butter cream cheese frosting?

Although a bit heavy on the carbs scale, this layered cake will definitely satisfy your taste buds and oh yes, it will absolutely make your special occasion rather more special! What goes perfectly well with it is the beautiful golden coloured caramel shards decor! Check out how we combined the two awesome things together to create this magic. Made especially from the most amazing Honestly Smooth Peanut Butter from Amazin’Graze SG, this will multiply the happiness quotient for you and for that someone special!

Peanut butter cake


For cake base:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup castor sugar
  • 1 cup amazingraze smooth peanut butter
  • 1 tbsp vanilla essence
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cup all purpose flour
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 1 tbsp baking powder

Peanut butter cream cheese frosting:

  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • ½ cup butter
  • ½ cup amazingraze smooth peanut butter
  • 1 ½ cup castor sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla essence
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 4-5 crumbled chocolate brownies

Caramel shards:

  • 1 cup sugar


Cake base:

  1. Preheat the oven at 180 degree celsius
  2. In a bowl, mix butter and sugar well
  3. Add peanut butter and vanilla essence to the mix and beat it using electric beater, until combined well
  4. Add eggs, one at a time to the mix and beat well
  5. Now add baking powder and half of the flour, beat the mixture again and add the milk. Combine this well and then add the remaining flour and beat it again
  6. Grease a cake pan (ours is 6-inch) and place a parchment paper at the bottom. Now pour this thick and smooth batter in the pan, tap the pan once or twice and place it in the oven for 20-30 minutes or until skewer inserted in the middle comes out clean
  7. Let the cake cool down

Peanut butter frosting:

  1. Beat butter and cream cheese for 3-4 minutes
  2. Add peanut butter and vanilla essence
  3. Add sugar and mix it well
  4. Beat milk with the above mix. The frosting should be thick. Quantity of milk can be adjusted based upon the consistency of the mix

Assembling the cake:

  1. Cut the cooled cake into three equal layers
  2. Add a thin layer of peanut butter cream cheese frosting
  3. Sprinkle the crumbled brownie and spread a layer of peanut butter cream cheese frosting
  4. Now place the top layer and repeat the same steps for the next layer
  5. Spread a thick layer at the top most layer and refrigerate the cake for 2-3 hours and serve it cool after garnishing it your way

Caramel shards (for garnishing):

  1. Melt 1 cup sugar in a pan
  2. Grease aluminum foil with butter or oil
  3. Using a spatula spread the melted sugar thinly on the aluminum in the form of desired shapes (shards, next, cup etc.)
  4. Let it cool and then take it out gently and stick on the cake as per your design
